Did you marry your complete opposite?

I got married 3 months into dating my dh. It was crazy, i regretted it immediately but over the years we have made it work. We have been together more than 9 years. I always knew he wasn't a dancer but this weekend for some reason it got to me. We were at a party and I wanted to dance but he wouldn't even try. I haven't danced in years! I ended up dancing with my kids and my dad. I am outgoing he is whatever. I like to go out, he is a homebody. We are so different from each other sometimes I wonder why were still together. Did you marry your opposite? Did you struggle with it?

I wouldn't say we are complete opposites, but we are opposite in a lot of things. It makes things difficult sometimes, but for the most part, we balance each other out pretty well.

I married an intellectual equal. Sure we differ, but our core values are the same. That's what makes it work.

He's a wall flower, I'm obnoxious
He's reserved, I'm balls out
He likes little dogs, I like the biggest ones I can find
He likes bland food, I like hot znd spicy

Yea that's not the case here. We see things differently. I was raised to respect elders regardless of who they are, he believes that you need to give respect to receive respect. There's plenty of things we don't see eye to eye, we usually have to compromise.
