miscarriage or period?

So, idk if I am or was pregnant, but, I started my period Friday, but it stopped like completely by Sunday, then it started again, then stopped, then started, then stopped and started. And now I have really heavy bleeding and it smells like blood, not like my normal periods, and I have never had a period like this, and it worried me that it smelled like blood, and there were a lot of clots. Do you think I could have had a miscarriage, or something? I know I need to see a doc, that's a given.

Not to be rude, mean, nasty, etc. But does It really matter?

Could be anything really. No way to tell unless you pee on a stick. If it's positive you probably had a mc. Of not just a screwy period.

I am in no way trying to be ugly, although I realize it comes off that way. All I am saying is...in the end you aren't going to be pregnant. Knowing whether this is a really bad period or a miscarriage will do nothing but cause you heartache.

Get a pregnancy test, it will show up positive even if you lost the baby ;(

Hope it wasn't though. Good luck.

Do you feel like you're having contraction like pains? Like early labor? Or just normal period cramps?

I have irregular periods, but I've never had a period like this.

Its possible its just a wonky period
I had irregular periods when I was younger and the longer I went from one period to the next would usually make that period pretty bad...I found out later its because your body has more time to build up excess blood (gross i know)
So if you were a couple days late that could be why you're having the clots and stuff...your body just built up too much

if you really want to know though...take a pregnancy test..it should still come out positive if you are/were pregnant

but if it were me...I wouldnt' want to know..I would just chalk it up to a weird heavy period

idk why everyone is saying take a test. It won't show. I miscarried 6 months ago and the morning I started bleeding, I went to the dr a few hours later my levels were at 13, they need to be at least 50 to get a positive test result. But I felt pain right away and the bleeding was heavy and full of clots the entire time so I think it is probably just a weird period. Good luck though!!
