A local high school has been dealing with an outbreak of chicken pox. So under the recommendation of the health department, they decided that students without the chicken pox vaccine would not be allowed back until further notice, which ended up being 33 students. Thoughts?

I think its their right and with an outbreak its the only way they can protect those that aren't vaccinated.

My child wouldn't stay home.

Who has it? All unvaxed? That is a lot in one school.

If you don't vax you should expect to keep your kids home if there is an outbreak.

The 33 students are the amount unvaxed. There is a 21 day incubation period, so they're not allowed back until May 28. They'll miss prom and graduation. The only way they're allowed back is to either get the vaccine or get a blood test to confirm immunity. I imagine this is going to be quite a battle!

What about the kids that had the chicken pox?  How are they proving they had it?
