Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

Any nurses or doctors? Very graphic picture inside of skin problem. **ETA**

This is under my c-section "flap"  My scar is fine but it is this skin that rubs together.  I just had my third baby 6 months ago.  is this a yeast infection.  It doesn't really itch it just hurts.  Should I give it time to heal up or go in about it?

I know I need to lose weight so no need to tell me that.

I know I need to do some major ladyscaping but I have not had the time or energy to do that yet.

ETA:  It has a funky smell.

I'm sorry it hurts. I think you shoud get a prescription cream. That will clear it up the fastest.

I do try to keep it powdered.

I think you should call your dr. Have you tried powdering?

It looks like it may be infected.

I would call and get an apt with my OB right away. If they can't get you in on Monday I would go to the ER.

Get it checked but it looks like it couls also be heat rash. After that clears up use baby powder there. Its trapping the sweat in the fold and that is a feeding ground for a yeast infection.

This daughter of a burn nurse and then a wound clinic nurse says you should go in.  They can give you something extra good to help get rid of that yeast.  In the meantime, what I would do besides keeping it clean and dry and breaking out the yeast infection cream, is to put gauze in the fold to keep the irritated tissue from exacerbating itself.

Definitely take it to a doctor.  That is some serious ouchness there, I can tell.
