For those of you who've had your wisdom teeth removed...

i got my surgery a little over a week ago. The past couple days i've been so tierd, i get jaw cramps, and now my lymph nodes are swollen and sore. But theres no pain or tenderness in the acual removal areas, or anywhere in my mouth besides my jaw.

Anyone else have this problem? Is it normal? Its the weekend so i cant call the dentist until monday, just trying to figure out if i should worry or not, and if theres anything to help, my neck feels like its about to burst :(

Aside from being awake while they removed my wisdoms...I had the easiest, most painfree recovery ever. I had none of the problems you have listed. Sorry, no help!

Could be a secondary infection. If it persists I would go in. Does your dentist have an emergency line?

I had jaw issues afterwards but I have TMJ, so it was to be expected.

not sure about the neck thing though :/

I didn't have dental surgery. I just went in and got them pulled.  I had no problems afterwards.

Mabey it's a dry socket? Call your dentist on monday & get a recheck. If you spike a fever go to the er for antibiodics.

I would call your dr asap, sounds like a secondary infection!

I had no problems other than finding out I was allergic to the codeine they gave me for pain. Three wisdom teeth taken out while under anesthesia, no bruising, no swelling, one stitch. I would go back in. It sounds like some kind of infection. Hope you get feeling better.

Sounds like dry socket or a secondary infection. I had a blood clot form in my jaw about a week after my surgery. I was on antibiotics, blood thinners and pain meds. Any fever?
