Do any of you have holes in the dirt/grass in your yards at all? I have these holes all over my yard. 4 houses on my block have them as well. Are they the cicada bugs already? I didn't think the ground was warm enough for them to come out yet.

They look like cicada holes to me. I watched one dig down into the ground when I was a kid and thats what it looked like. I live in FL now but grew up in Jersey.

Could be grubs. Birds eat them and make the holes.

In NY. The only holes I have now seem to be bunny nests. I am terrified of cicadas! I remember how gross they were last time they came around.

I'm in the section of PA that is supposed to see Brood II, and haven't noticed any holes. I'll admit I haven't really been looking.

Quoting Anonymous:

It's suppose to be CT. Sorry. I wrote this in the middle of the night and was half asleep.

Quoting Anonymous:

If I remember correctly they are cicadas holes.

I'm upstate too but I don't have a yard. Are you sure they're not ant nests?
