Do any of you have holes in the dirt/grass in your yards at all? I have these holes all over my yard. 4 houses on my block have them as well. Are they the cicada bugs already? I didn't think the ground was warm enough for them to come out yet.

Nope, ants make mounds and these holes are about the size of a quarter.

I'm upstate too but I don't have a yard. Are you sure they're not ant nests?

I live in NY and there are holes all over. Just dug up my garden last weekend to find a bunch of them. Cicada shells/some live ones as well. Bleh.

I'm in NJ but I haven't seen any holes. I thought I had read, that they are already hatching.
