Is this appropriate for a bride to do? Wedding etiquette question.

My future sister in law is getting married on Father's Day Sunday. She is planning on having prime rib served for her and her husband, while the guests have chicken or fish. My brother thinks this is rude and pretentious. She says it's their day and they are the most important people in the room so they should have the best meal in the room. I'm not married yet so I'm not sure I agree with her but I don't know if my brother is right either.

Anyone know?

I don't see anything wrong with it.

I think that's very weird and a bit rude, but it's her wedding.

Well it is a bit unconventional.  I don't know if it's technically improper etiquette, but I certainly would not do it.

Yes, that's rude. If they want prime rib, they should offer it to guests too or go to a hotel that offers prime rib for dinner after.

Yes, it's very tacky.  I wouldn't go to the wedding.
