After years and YEARS of not getting child support my daughter dad was found and guess what! He is working!!! I'm thinking why would I even need some of this back support he is going to give me. What would you do? Give it to your child, or pay back bills you had while taking care of your child? I'm thinking I'm going to give it to my child, we did fine without it and she could use it as she is growing up and moving on, she is going to be 18 at the end of May. But I wanted to know what you all would do?

Ok I'm not getting a one lump sum he is working and I will be getting the monthly support he owes and he will be paying back support till he is caught up of the $20,000 and paying $230 a month until it's cleared up. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

AND she says she is not going to college, her choice nothing I can do.

Stick It in savings for her, that way when she enters the world on her own she has a head start.

Should I stick it in a savings and not tell her since she will be 18 soon?

What's she going to do? Put it away anyways and tell her if she wants it she has to go to college. I wish my folks had forced college on me!
