Would you take your kids to an obese pediatrician? Or would you go to a very overweight doctor, if you could choose between a non-overweight one and an overweight one? And, before people say I am being mean and offensive I feel I have a "right" to ask this b/c I used to be obese. I lost 65 pounds and am now healthy and a size 4. Losing weight is NOT easy, but I do recommend it. I'm so glad I joined a gym. Joining a gym is so much cheaper than having a heart attack, diabetes, stroke, depression etc later on

Update:

I wanted to sincerely apologize if this was a rude post :( I'm sorry :-(  I truly did not intend for it to be rude

Well, some people have a hard time.

I have been on a 90% raw veggie diet and found out today that I have to stop it.

I was doing good on weight loss and now that is going to slow down.

For the first time, I truly realize that some people have health problems.

Maybe she has a health issue she's working on? So yeah. But not one that smoked.

I wouldn't take health advice from an individual who wasn't healthy.

my last ob/gyn was overweight, and she was wonderful. I drove a significant distance out of my way to see her, as she was one of the few docs I could find who TRULY supported VBAC.

I don't make assumptions about peoples lifestyle based on how they look. a big person could have just lost 100s of pounds, be eating well, and more fit than a thin person.

If they're qualified, yes. We all have our struggles, and we're all human. His being obese has nothing to do with his expertise.

I've never encountered it so I don't know how I'd actually feel about it.
If I did..I didn't care. Lol

How would the doctors weight affect my family exactly?
