sick 7yo, when to be concerned?

My 7yo son has been throwing up every half hour for almost 12 hours. He's had an on and off fever...nothing severe. He hasn't eaten anything since dinner Thursday night, so its just bile he is throwing up.

When should I expect this to stop? I'm starting to get concerned.

Stomach virus? I had it once all I did was drink a teaspoon of vinegar and it went away. Serious.

He's probably really dehydrated. That's a lot of loss.

anything more than 24 hr is worth a doctor's visit for the possible dehydration alone. Food poisoning can last as much as 3 days

well he has still been peeing, so I don't know if I'm too worried about that yet. I have been aware of when he pees and watching his eyes.

At what point do you go to the Dr, at what point does this become a concern?

so if we get up in the morning and its still this frequent maybe I should run by urgent care. I doubt he'll get much sleep tonight.

after 24 hours I'd call the doctor.  i would give him smart water and a tiny bit of ginger ale. just to try to keep him hydrated. if he starts complaining of stomach cramps call the doctor. i hope he feels better. my daughter has terrible allergies. she's 6 and has been up for 2 nights crying. she's on meds and nothing is working.

I'd probably take him into the dr mama. I'd be worried about dehydration. Hope he gets to feeling better soon!
