a simple wisdom tooth extraction yesterday has my friend in the hospital with multiple injuries. she wasnt watched when she was coming out of anesthisia. so far all i know is a hurt knee, head busted open, neck injury. she was waking up and fell off the bed. slammed onto her knee and hit her head /neck on the table. shes a VERY hardworking single mother. and she had to be taken by ambulance.

LAWSUIT. maybe she wont have to work for a while.

Doubtful, you have to sign a waiver to get the meds and the person who picks you up from the dentist signs a waiver as well. Good luck!

1 mom liked this

she fell UNDER THEIR CARE. if it was a complication caused by the meds themselves, then they wouldnt be liable, but she was really hurt under thier care because they werent watching a person who was waking up from anesthesia.

I'm pretty sure wavers are signed that prevent people from suing. ALWAYS read anything you sign your name to. Either way they have insurance for this kind of thing.

My husband signed a waiver before the procedure specifially saying that he should not get out of bed without assistance and if he did he could not sue.

That is a lot of injuries for simple falling out of bed. I hope she's okay

she was still under, starting to wake up. they left her alone in the room. she was completely out of it.

Sorry; generally people aren't watched as they come out of it for a dental surgery. I wasn't and neither were any of my kids, But they all knew not to get out of bed
