I take my child and move to Texas without his dad knowing...
I'm being abused. But I finally have a way to leave him! But I have to do it while he's at work...

But if I just take off with our son can he get me for kidnapping?

We're not married and there's no custody agreement with us.
I honestly doubt he'll fight for his son but he would if he knew it would ruin my life...

If his name is on the birth certificate, he can get you for kidnapping.

I know if u move to Mississippi they're 100% mom rights which would mean legally he can't do crap there. That's all I know but go look up state laws and find out for sure or ask the police or someone at the courthouse

No. One time the hubby and I had split up and I had his mother watch the kids while I went and paid bills. Well he came and picked them up I called. The cops thinking he just took them they said there was nothing they could do because there was no custody papers. This was In Cali. The laws where you are might be different. There are battered women shelters call them they will help you.

No,.....since there is no custody arrangement, then you BOTH have the right to leave the state with the child...

I couldn't with mine when I thought he took my kids. So I don't think that matters.
