Im talking about when people tell their kids things that are flat out lies just to make them behave or to avoid telling them the truth, like that the stork brought the baby or, as a friend once told her son at Chuck E Cheese-'That screen up there? It says, X, if you dont eat your pizza, youre not allowed to play.' Seriously? So many people think of it as being totally harmless, it's a parents' right or prerogative, time honored ritual, whatever.
It's stupid and youre liars and when your kids grow up and lie to you, be prepared and remember all the lies you told them because it was more convenient than the truth.
(And Im not talking about Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny-Im not getting into a debate on those, to each their own. Im talking about every day, stupid deceptions that are literally for nothing but a parent's convenience)
