Would you throw it away?

My sons father bought me a ring for my first Mothers Day. Its my sons birthdate and name engraved on it. The stone is his birthstone.

We broke up, but I still wear the ring because its for my SON. My exs name is in no way connected to this ring besides the reciept.

Now he is saying that I should have thrown it away since we broke up. Would you???.

No. It's for your son. You didn't break up with him.
