I believe children should fear their parents

A little bit of fear.

I'm not taking about the abuse fear, that will make them shake and tremble.
I'm talking about that "if I cuss at my parents, there WILL be repercussions"
Or... "if I act like a brat, temper tantrums etc... there WILL be an issue"

Well, that's my thought. And that's how ill raise my child

**EDIT**
I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT HITTING YOUR CHILD TO GAIN FEAR..
I AM ALSO NOT TAKING ABOUT BEING TOO SCARED TO GO TO YOUR PARENTS FOR ANYTHING.

That's more fear of consequences than fear of the parents, and I think that's healthy.

I agree. It's like knowing "if I touch fire, it will burn." It's a basic understanding of cause & effect.

I think its the parent.
Because its a respect for the parent.
I know that my mother will tax my ass if I disrespected her or misrepresented myself. Lol

Agreed. I'm 30 years old and still am on my best behavior around my mom.

I agree. Too many parents want to be their child's best friend. That can be healthy when they are grown, but a 7 year old doesn't need a friend for a parent.

Exactly.
I see these posts about kids acting out and they don't want their kids scared of them.
Shit
My child will fear me a tad bit. I'm not going through what these other women go through. Lol
