There's this little neighbor kid who is very possessive of my dd. She doesn't want her having any friends.

Well, I've noticed she hasn't been hanging around here anymore and today she told my dd that her mom said that when the other kids come over she can't play with them and has to go home. So of she wants dd to play with her she better tell the other kids to leave. so I asked her mom about it thinkinv surely the kid was wrong and she said that she told her dd to come home when other kids are here playing.

Why not encourage her that its OK to play with other kids?

Smh.

That is so strange to me. Maybe she doesnt want her dd to feel left out?

Maybe she's trying in some backhanded to not be rude? By making sure that there aren't too many kids at your house?

IDK, it's odd.

If anything she leaves the other kids out. She's a bossy little thing and for awhile would get mad and pull dd away from other people

That is sad because her daughter will think shes perfect and that there is something wrong with the world. She is setting her daughter up for failure with socializing.

did you ask if there was a problem with the other kids you should know about?

Her dd doesn't like them. So she won't make her play with kids she doesn't like.

That is all fine and dandy but your dd is demanding my dd not play with them and putting her in a very awkward position.

This girl is incredibly bossy. I try to stay out of it but when school was in had to say something because she threw dds lunch when dd refused to sit next to her.
