My niece came running into my bedroom, then my sil grabbed her by her arm and "yanked" her out of my bedroom where my niece smacked her face against the door frame, then sil told her "give me it, you don't listen to me blah blah blah, she she hit/spanked my niece, only 3 swats but it sounded skin on skin, which is sad because my niece still wears diapers.......sil is pregnant again. But while I understand her dd needs discipline I do believe nothing my neice did was bad enough for a spanking, sil needs to calm the fuck down and she shouldn't be having another baby since she can't deal with the one she has.

Her kid, not yours. How do you know what happened before what you heard?

That sounds excessive. Especially yanking her arm and slamming her into something in the process.

Poor baby :(
I would have slammed SILs face on the door frame and asked her how she likes it.

Meh, as a cashier I have seen way worse, including a Mom spanking her kid who couldn't have been more than a year old, and yanking her by the arm/picking her up by the arm.

This.  I don't think letting her face get smacked on the door was right, but who knows what the circumstances were that got the little girl in trouble in the first place.
