Fruit leather is along the lines of fruit roll ups except its 100% fruit, fruit pulp, sweetened by juices, no added sugar.
It's usually thicker and chewy... leathery texture. Lol tastes great!

Fruit, yogurt (not the crap in the tubes, but plain yogurt with some granola and fruit mixed in), homemade wheat crackers, raw veggies, homemade treats like cookies or fruit desert treats once in a while. Quesadillas on whole wheat tortillas with mozerella, cream cheese on brown rice cakes...

I never did - not the stuff out of the box. Too many preservatives. I make mac and cheese from scratch. My son has had it at friend's houses. He thinks it's really gross.

The ladies who said they would never ever feed their kids mac and cheese are just straight out lying....or crazy? Just trying to make themselves sound good to complete strangers.

Hummus never lasts long around here!

Quoting sheramom4:

I have a variety of snacks available. Everything from fresh fruit and veggies, hummus, string cheese, yogurt and summer porridge to fruit snacks, pudding cups and individually packed chips. Plus Hot Pockets and Muffin Tops. Different days the kids want different things or a combination of healthy and junk.

Our favorite healthy snacks are hummus, smoothies made with fruit and Greek Frozen Yogurt, summer porridge, and fruit and veggie trays.

This is basically our house but we make baked sweet potato chips and I make fruit leather in my food dehydrater. I got it because dried fruit is hard to find without sulfur and my kidney disease doesn't respond well to sulfur or nitrate .

We have a TON of sweet potatoes from our CSA - do you do the sweet potato chips in the oven?

The best place I have found for unsulfered dried fruits is the chain Trader Joes. I LOVE their dried mango. If you ever have the chance to check them out I highly recommend them!

Today, I fixed my DS and DD sliced strawberries, and peeled and cut up cucumbers!! They love fruits and veggies! My DS will grab a tomato and eat it like an apple! They also love carrots, cauliflower and corn!
