A bit worried about my hysterectomy

It's in 2 weeks. Not too worried about the surgery itself, but worried about the recovery time.

If you've had one , did it really take you 6 weeks?

Yes 6 weeks but after the first 1 or two it wasn't so bad. The worst part for me, everyone is different, was the phantom pain. Your body thinks your parts are still there.  I just paced mysef, rested when I needed and took pain meds if I needed them. I really only needed pain meds the first 4-5 days except for an occasional day when phantom pain was bad.  My issues leading up to the surgery were far worse on me than the recovery. I had come to the point I was in bed with pain 3 out of 4 weeks a month. Recovery was much easier to deal with.  Best think I ever had done.

Sorry.
My sister is fighting for one, but can't find anyone who will do it!
I hope it's easy for you!

try almost a year for complete recovery. the pain in your belly lasts for a few months.

I know a couple of people who have had them. It took a couple of months to recover. 4 weeks on pretty much bed rest.

No, but hopefully I won't have as much pain in my stomach

I had to have one. Yes the Dr told me 6 weeks but I had to have my stomach cut. I have heard if you get it done vaginal it takes less time to heal. I had a tumor the size of a grapefruit growing with the baby almost a year ago.
