I've never really understood why people scoff at that, but to each their own.

Newark NJ...

Quoting harpsichord:

Oh? Where do you live?

Quoting URHonor:

Sadly, it happens all the time in my city.

Quoting harpsichord:

I have never actually seen / heard that happening irl. But apparently it's quite the hot topic among CafeMom-ers and the people they're surrounded by.

Agreed.  I usually even take it in a dish (or tupperwear) that I'm willing to give up.

Quoting Jessy613:

I think when you take something to a party, like alcohol or cake or something, and then when it's time to leave and you take it with you, I think that's tacky.

I know my best friend doesn't see anything wrong with it, but if I'm bringing something to a party, its for the people who are hosting the party and their guests, not for me to take home when everyone is done with it.

The words "baby mama" or "baby daddy". Pet peeve of mine. Mother/father of the child sounds way better.

Not making enough time for proper etiquette, like writing thank you notes.

Wearing character shirts as an adult, particularly Looney Toons. Also reposting those ridiculous Looney Toon photos with not so witty phrases, on Facebook.

Fighting with your SO on Facebook or anywhere in public.

By this I don't mean women who have been married multiple times and have kids from those relationships, but the ones who are like 23 and have 4 kids from different men and haven't been in a serious relationship with any them.

Really, people talk about it all the time? Like, just go out in public and you're bound to hear someone bragging and welfare fraud?

I guess what I'm really asking is, is NJ really that boring?

If you're on PA don't be offended. I don't care who uses it or not. I just find it tacky to brag about it.
