Okay, Pediatrician. This Is Getting Ridiculous

My son is behind on a couple of vaccinations because of some issues with the insurance. It was a long, hellish process but we finally got it taken care of. I'm not too impressed with his new pediatrician, though. They dole out steps of "the process" one teeny tiny step at a time.

We had to have his old vax records sent to them. They were supposed to call when they got it in so we could set up an appointment. Well, weeks went by, they didn't call, and finally, I called. Oh yeah! We have it! Great. So when I tried to set up an appointment they were like "You need a new card with a pediatrician from OUR practice."

Okay. Fine. I'll get that done. But WHY didn't they tell me that when they sent me the vax record release? I could already have that new card and be good to go?

Ugh.

Unfortunately there aren't many places here that are taking new patients. I've been trying for awhile.

Sometimes in cases like that it's not so much the doctor, but the office staff that is the problem.

True. I guess my complaint is more geared at the staff.

Although I did talk to the pedi once. But you're right.
