OT : Recipes !

I will be the first to admit that me and cooking don't mix very often, and the result is a lot of meals from other places, and alot of microwave meals.

My problem is that I just dont know how to cook! I dont have a creative bone in my body, so I cant seem to put this and that together and make it a meal.  The only thing I am really good at cooking is Chili and Cornbread from scratch.

If any of you can help me and suggest and tips, that would be great. (Im the girl who sets a smoke alarm off for burning bacon, btw). Also, if any of you can suggest any easy, simple, but also healthy-ish recipes for me to try, I would be forever grateful. :)

Just buy an extremely basic cook book or maybe take a beginners cooking class!

 Summer Sausage and Veggies

you will need -------------

2 green peppers - cut up

1 red pepper - cut up

1 big red onion - cut up

1 big yellow onion - cut up

3 tomatoes - cut up

2 table spoons minced garlic

1 package smoked sausage - sliced like thick quarters

3 table spoons olive oil

How to cook -------------

In a large skillet add  olive oil and cut up sausage - brown the sausage for about 5 to 8 minutes on medium high

the add all the cut up peppers, onions and garlic to the meat -  and mix them up, cover and allow them to sweat for 4 to 6 minutes ( allow vegetables to become soft and sweaty looking ) stiring  about every minute - you want them to have a very slight crunch when they are done

1 minute before plating the food, add the tomatoes and give it a final stir

serve with brown rice, or a croissant, or alone

YUMMY and healthy and super quick to make

This is how it should look right before plating it.

This will generally feed 4 people if you add rice and a bread of some kind.

or 2 people without rice or bread.
