Did you expect your parents to set aside money for your college education?

Did they pay for your college or help you with some of the cost?

Did your parents save for your wedding? Did they help in any way with the costs?

edit

A lot of people have said no it was not expected, but quite a few feel it is their responsibility to save for their childs future education. Do you feel that your childs college should be paid by you 100%, them/you 50/50 or them 100%.

I did not expect my parents to pay for either, but they paid for both.

No, I went away to college and took out loans. The only thing they paid for was my books. My ex-husband and I paid for our wedding.

My parents paid for my college and wedding.  I didn't expect them to, but it was something they wanted to do.  They started saving money for each of us when we were born.

My parents paid for college, our wedding and honeymoon, and gave us the money for our home.

My parents paid for my college, both degrees fully..  They didn't want me strapped with loans or anything..

They did not pay for my wedding.. I'm sure had I not jumped the gun and had children first they would have helped out though.

I didn't expect anything. We were poor a/f, I knew it wouldn't happen.

If I had expected either of those, I would have been horribly disappointed.
