Do you think it helps?

Do you think counseling can help a man that is  controlling and mentally abusive? Not physically, or not that we know of yet?

In the UK we don't use counselling half as much as Americans so I don't know, but Bump!

It CAN help, but you're proabaly best off helping him get the counseling, but making sure he knows he has NO chance of getting with you.  Trust me, you don't want to be the one hoping for the transformation.  He's better off changing completely and meeting someone else and being completely honest about his past and HER being willing to overlook it.
