Yep the spaghetti, sauce, garlic bread was a 1.00 each at the dollar store.bash away but we don't get food stamps so I buy what's cheap.not all the time though.however I did make meatballs with beef I already had.it was the Laura's organic beef.so what's some of your cheap dinners?

I make spaghetti like once a pay period at least.  The kids LOVE it and its cheap so thats a bonus.  they like meatballs though so it's usually more than 3 bucks but for all 6 of us, its the cheapest meal without going down the Ramen route.

We have a real nice dollar store nearby, I can make 2 pepperoni pizzas for 4 bucks. They do have good garlic bread.

For 2: 6 chicken legs for 2.40 (used 3, 2 for me 1 for dd) 5lbs bag potatoes 2.99 (used 2) green beans .85. (Already had butter, oil, 1 egg, flour, cheese, milk.(also fairly cheap things...)) fried the chicken, baked the potatoes (topped with butter and cheese), and microwaved the green beans.
