Don't want to freak you out but I would be concerned about skin cancer. Go see a derm and have them checked out just in case.

Usually the signs of skin cancer are moles growing, changing colors or oddly shaped, multi-colored moles.

It might be some other infecting or a sign of another disease. I would definitely go to a dermatologist.

I had a similar problem with one. I went to the dermatologist and ended up having to have 3 removed and I have to go every 6 months for the rest of my life. I have a few more that they are watching that will more than likely have to be removed as well. I would definitely go have it checked out. For what it is worth, the one I was having issues with was fine, the issue was in another one they removed.
