Almond milk for 1 year old?

Is it safe to give my 13 month old almond milk? He does not have a nut allergy (we give him peanut butter once a day) but I would still be cautious at first.

Is this a safe choice? Are there any side effects I should be worried about?

He is currently on Lactaid, doctors orders. I want him to start drinking what we drink.

It should be fine, but I suggest making it yourself.

I don't see why not. It is better to start them early rather than have to switch later from Milk to almond milk.

I honestly dont know. My daughter jumped from formula to almond milk because she had a soy allergy and i am lactose intolerant but she was a bit closer to two at the time. She did perfectly fine with it.

Personally I don't like te idea of kids on alternative milks because thy do not contain enough fat and are a frankenfood (processed food) in my book. Plus most kids do not like the unsweetened versions and the sweetened has far too much sugar. I would consider goat milk before those. It is much gentler than cow milk on sensitive tummies.

I let mt 2 year old have a little almond milk in his cereal, but I was a bit wary about it at first. I just started out with a tiny amount.
