I figured recovery from the hysterectomy would be no big deal, but I am in a lot of pain today!

any natural remedies you can think of?

Natural? Well, I have heard that Arnica/Arnica Montana works well for healing, but I'm not sure I would take it after a hysterectomy... Many herbs are known for their anticoagulant properties (not as much as a prescription, necessarily, but you still need to be careful!), so I would probably just take some Ibuprofen. I know it's not natural, but it usually does the trick.

what type did you have?  how long ago?  do you still have pain killers?  i had an abdominal hysterectomy & it took a good 6-8months before my swelling was completely gone.
