What recipe do you use for yours? Or do you cheat & use a can.

I am looking for step by step recipes not ingredients. I know what ingredients goes into homemade frosting.

Either powdered sugar, butter, and vanilla or whipping cream, sugar and vanilla. Sometimes I'll make chocolate frosting....but almost never from a can.

I use butter, Crisco, icing sugar and milk. Or if I'm in a rush I'll use canned and add icing sugar to thicken it up.

Powdered sugar and softened butter, a little milk and vanilla. Or add cocoa for chocolate, or other flavoring depending on what Im making.

Canned frosting...bleah! I dont use it.

Lol, I don't have the recipe with me but when I get home I''ll post it for you. I think it's just the Betty crocker version. Oops, and you add vanilla too!
