Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

I just got verbally attacked in front of my son :(

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

I had to take my son to his 1 year wellness checkup and was running a little late...not usual for me. So I pulled in the parking lot and drove around 2 times....NO PARKING SPOTS. There was one handicap parking place and I do have a handicap tag because I cart my 87 year old grandmother to the doctor all the time. Well I decided to go ahead and park because there was nothing else available. When me appointment was over I was putting DS in his car seat and this lady in a wheelchair was coming outside. She rolls over to my car and started screaming at me because apparently she thought I was wrong to park there. Keep in mind that she did have a parking spot...I did not put her out of parking in a handicap spot. She proceeded to call me fat and said I was lazy and I was what was wrong with society...people who feel entitled...she even called me a bitch. I was so embarrassed and I started shaking...she really made me want to cry. I couldn't even pull out because she was still screaming at me from behind my car. I put the car in reverse and backed out a little bit and she eventually moved. It really scared me and my son :( why do people have to be so ugly???

I really hope that all of you women who are taking about pushing this lady over a cliff and telling the OP that it is just a parking spot, never end up in a situation where they need a handicap spot and can't get one. The fact is, those spots are there for a reason, it is illegal to use one if you don't need it and it is incredibly rude and selfish. To all of you calling the lady in the wheelchair entitled, she is. She is entitled to a spot reserved for the handicapped.

Who cares? She didn't get caught by the po-po and she got to her appointment.

And, if she had been caught by the police, she would be on here whining and moaning about how it is not fair that she got a ticket. I hope you are not teaching your kids that it is okay to do something illegal as long as you don't get caught. Great example.

That's exactly what I'm teaching my children.

Double park, park in the handicap spot, it's all wrong. You may not have kept HER from a spot, but you kept someone who RIGHTFULLY needed that spot from it. I am glad she has the balls to harass you, now go explain to your kid about how what you did was WRONG.

I am sorry she yelled at you, but she is right. You had no business parking in the handicap spot without your grandma in the car. That sticker is for her not you to park where you want.

I had nowhere to park. What am I suppose to do...double park?? She did not do without because I parked there...she had a parking spot. It was really none of her business
