My SS is in jail. Updated

And I can't address the elephant in the room out loud. So I'm going to do it here.

Maybe if my husband hadn't been in and out of jail when he was a child. He would have had a better role model and not have screwed his life forever at the age of 19.

It made the front page. He basically destroyed the school. Computer labs, lockers, pressbox. The computers alone 50k in damage...

Why would you stick with someone who is in jail all the time?

He got drunk with some of his buddies and broke into a local highschool and trashed it.

I was young and nieve when I met my dh. He has done a complete 180 since then. But he lost his kids, rightfully, from his previous relationship shortly after his last release. If I hadn't been young and dumb, I'd have missed out on the amazing husband/father he is now.

He's not now. He was a long time ago when I met him.

I could not be with a man who had a criminal record. Even if it was years ago.

And I'll bet you even did a background check on every guy you were with, right? I'll bet there was at least one who had something in there. Hell, a misdemeanor traffic ticket is considered a criminal record these days if it isn't expunged or negated with a traffic class. LMAO @ some of you uppity broads who can't let a person leave their old mistakes behind and just enjoy the good person they are now.

i dont think you can blame your husband for his sons actions. at 19 the kid knew damn good and well what he was doing was wrong.

too many people blame their parents for their actions. but the bottem line is you know right from wrong especially at 19.

my ex is an alcoholic but by no means does that give my kids the free pass to drink and drive etc!
