I cant imagine why vinegar and water would make your floor sticky. Does it have a finish on it already that maybe the vinegar is breaking up?

Too much vinegar. I use 1cup vinegar per gallon of water I also add a couple tbsp of dish soap and a couple tsps of baking soda. My floors are wayyy cleaner now.

I use 1 cup vinegar to a bucket of hot water. So maybe that is it? But I do use a 50/50 of water & vinegar to clean my counters and tables and it is never sticky.

I use one cup of double strength vinegar in a bucket of hot water. No need for so much vinegar. It may be eating at the finish on your floor.
