Foster parents get government money to take care of the kids they aren't necessarily on WIC a lot of them get food stamps tho... but i agree with you thanks for pointing this out!!!!!

Quoting Anonymous:

You do realize that there are children... known as foster children who are on WIC. Should foster parents not take them into their homes? Or maybe you'd rather fosterparents pay for the food? FPs get crap "financial assistance" Wic is a must have

Is this about your tax money? You saying that people shouldn't get these because you are having to pay for them? Well if it is believe me honey if those things didn't exist guess what? The government would still take your damn money and find something else to put it towards. I would rather mine go to people that need it than in their pockets.

Ha, ha, ha.  We had all of our children when we had job losses (lay offs, they outsourced our jobs).  Can't exactly plan on that.  We ended up on pa because of that.

He and I have never had unintended pregnancies.  And of course we've not had one since we lost our jobs, as we have always been responsible in that dept.

You enrolled in WIC to learn to breastfed and you're calling the OP an idiot??

You admit to having two children you can't feed without government aid.

Hon, SHE'S not the idiot here.

Quoting sweetieiv:

I am currently enrolled in wic and I have a 3yr old boy and a 2month old daughter what's your point? Both of my children were planned and both are healthy and loved. I enrolled in wic because it offers so much education for breast feeding moms like me. With out the help from the ladies at wic I don't think I would be exclusively breast feeding. Sometimes idiots, as yourself, need to stfu and mind your own business before judging others.

We had savings, but we have a son with health issues.  If you have ever dealt with paying out of pocket for health care for a person with severe health problems, you will understand.  His specialists are a half a state away, he takes four medications regularly, and he needed a procedure done during our unemployment (3 d CT scan, done half a state away at his doctors office, then a procedure where he was inpatient for a few days)

Hell, my sis almost went bankrupt when he hubby got brain cancer two years ago.  He was gone within six months, and the bills have crippled her.  She has always had several months of savings in the bank.  But all that went out of the window because of his illness.

Thankfully, he had life insurance.  It saved her from total financial ruin.  As it is, that was a hard six months.

My husband lost his job as I was in labor.

Our baby was planned so we had 6 months of salary in the bank.
