My sons pay more attention to me when I am 'pretty'!
My boys are 1 & 2 and I just wanted to share that I've discovered that they pay more attention to me and for longer when I do my hair and makeup first thing in the morning and wear something nice when I get them up in the mornings. They show me more respect as well. I wonder if this would help caregivers and educators or therapists etc have a little extra advantage over those who just tend to children in super-casual clothes and look homely etc.
I realized that my sons speech therapist (He's a little over 2 and a half, actually) goes to work in yoga pants and t-shirts and he doesn't seem to be responding to his therapy well. I don't know if I should tell her, or just change therapists.
