Pics from today added pg 37

Some people know already my house was flooded, we are in Alberta..

This was our house and my van yesterday morning..

Just adding a few notes-
there is no insurance coverage available for those affected by overland flooding in Alberta.
The first flood alert for our area was posted at 6:51 am, we were evacuated from our already flooding home at approx 7 am.

Clean up is starting today, fire department and search and rescue are heading out to help residents.

My cat is still missing.

Update - our cat was found!!!!!!! :) I'm so so happy!

Good stuff :) I know a lot of people don't necessarily have family around.

Quoting TSNDDY:

We have been at my parents house since Thursday, they live in the south end of the city no where near any flooding..

Quoting MistyMoo:

Good luck to them! So, I know you've probably said this a million times already, but where are you staying while all of this is going on?

Quoting TSNDDY:

I love the new slogan they have out :)

But I have no idea how they are going to have the city, roads, train lines in well enough condition to do so.. :/

Quoting MistyMoo:

Yikes! I'm so sorry. I was watching the news yesterday and was hearing about that. I can't believe they're still going to try to have the stampede! Sounds nuts, especially when they have the helicopter fly over the stadium to show the damage!

Yeah, it's just horrifying.  I know that everyone says it's just "stuff" and as long as everyone is ok, that's all that matters, and I get that that's true, but at the same time it's more than that.  I'm sure you know what I mean, though.

Quoting TSNDDY:

Have you seen Sisika Nation? :(
Completely gone :(

Quoting meaganmac:

Oh man, I'm so sorry! We're farther north so we've been unaffected but to see the destruction, and so close to home, it's just heartbreaking. Some communities completely wiped off the map. It's just unbelievable.
