Genesis is the Old Testament which many Christians no longer follow because it was before the birth of Jesus. God was an angry God in the Old Testament until Jesus came and gave himself for the sins of all. If you read the New Testament you can see the changes.

I used to be a non-believer.  I still don't believe in the bible and religion and all that jazz.  But, I've come to the conclusion that what people are holding on to is the idea that there is something more for their loved ones and themselves when we pass.  I decided a long time ago that God IS love.  The bible was written by man, not God.

but he created them with free will right?  so what was the issue exactly

he let them decide for themselves

just like we do now

what is so different
