I am just worried about how much he may be teased. I know it is innocent.

Personally, I wouldn't let my 8 year old daughter give a love note to anyone.. boy or girl.

I know it's just innocent.. but that's how I feel.

If I was in your shoes, I would say to him, "No sending love notes to anyone until you're older.." LOL

I'm confused. Eight years olds shouldn't be giving ANYONE love notes, male or female. Now my son, and all the kids in his class, sign cards to each other with Love. I don't see any problems there.

No, but I wouldn't allow any love notes at that age, to anybody except family.

No. But maybe if it said I like you.

I don't think he means it in way like he's attracted to the other kid or wants to hold his hand. He probably just wants to express a gratitude of friendship. I would help him write something to that effect. "Dear___, I'm so glad we're friends. From ____"

I'd remind him that boys marry girls.
