we were at the local beach the other day with friends and of course sand toys.... stupid birds thought the sand toys were food and stalked the kids until we got up and moved. The gulls proceeded to steal some of the sand toys. LOL My friend and I just laughed in disbelief... ever deal with seagulls?

Yes...and they're protected, so I can't even do anything about it.

really? I didnt know that... we usually just move or leave if they get too bad. Never had a toy stolen by a seagull though... Just cookies or snacks... one right out of the hand of one of my kids. crazy birds

It may be just a particular variety, but since they all look the same I try not to bother them.

I HATE those nasty, dirty creatures.  I hate that they're protected here.  I think they'd be great for target practice.

I hate seagulls. The town I grew up in was waterfront and they were everywhere. We used to have to go out at work and clean up trash because they would get into the dumpsters.

lol yeah we call them rats with wings.

The great lakes have them & I'm about 45 minutes from Lake Michigan & we still get gulls here sometimes in our parking lots.

I did not know they were scavengers.

I was walking across the paking lot to go to the bus after buying chicken at the pig.

They kept trying to attack and I did not realize that it was the chicken in my purse that they were after.

I don't know if you know this, but when seagulls take flight, they will stop flying and just soar on the wind and even go backwards.

Flipped me out.

Hitchcock said nothing about these bitches having a reverse!
