ladies -

my mother has been diagnosed with cancer. it is by her ovaries in her lower stomach. Can anyone tell me what to expect? and how others to cope? She is going to need surgery and a few treatments at least of chemotherapy (we won't know the exacts until she goes to the cancer center)

I have ovarian cancer.
I can't cope.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother, get it treated before it does spread

Supposedly it's been there for years. She hasn't had a pap in 25 years and it is so big you can see the roundness of the tumor. At this current moment we don't know if it has spread or not because the CATSCAN only showed one mass.

i'm sorry you're going through this too <3

I had a cyst on my ovary since forever, but kept putting things off.
Find out when I was pregnant.

Now, I have a son who probably won't get to know his mommy. That's why I can't cope.

But just be strong for her right now. She's scared and no matter how old you are or what you've been through, nobody is prepared for Cancer.
Best of luck to you and your family <3

The only cancer I've ever dealt with was when my father had lung cancer.

He was stage 3 when they found it and was going through radiation but it was already too late for that. It had spread to his bones. Then, it just went all through his body.

I guess it depends on what stage it is and what the plan is for trying to get rid of it.

I hope they can help her. I'm sorry.
