So I noticed something today, not just on CM, but on FB as well.

Most of the outrage over Paula Deen using the N word has been from white people.

In fact, I've seen many black people, myself included, not really giving a shit over something she said 25 years ago, and feeling that everyone is overreacting.

So why are all the white people pissed off about a racial slur that doesn't even insult them when it seems most people of the race insulted doesn't give a damn. Are we the only ones who see this rationally?

I've seen both black and white people saying they were offended. I've only seen white people who were not offended.

The first day it was posted here it was the black people that were all up in arms. So, I'm not sure what you're seeing.

I'm not pissed, I think she's being used as an example.

Not sure that I agree with that assessment. Most of the people I've seen deeply offended by her comments are black, and the people that don't care or don't see the big deal are white. You must have an interesting group of friends.

said sorry. Sit happens. It's just a word a " bad" word. To me like using the word fuck when you shouldn't. I think people need to get over it.

I think she's fake and still uses the n word but lies about not using it for her endorsement deals

I've seen both being offended. I'm black and I don't think she should have been fired for saying something 20 years ago. from what I read it's more than that though: sexual harasment from her brother, etc...
