So I put my 19 month old and my 4 year old to sleep in the same room tonight for the first time. All I hear is screaming from my 19 month. Is this what it's going t be like for the 1st few day? What can I do to make the transition more easier on them? Mommas please help!

Put them to bed at different times.

maybe stay in the room with them until the 19 mo falls asleep for a night or two, then stay for only a little while for a night or two, then don't stay at all

*shrug* sorry other than that i don't know

good luck!

Probably til they get used to the new arrangements. My boys are 20 months apart and always shared a room,.

Ya, I'd put the baby down first and the toddler later

I have no idea. Do you know why he's screaming? What is he transitioning FROM?  I'm not sure what I'd do. Mine shared a room from the beginning, so I don't know how to transition.

Yeah that's normal. My little guy did the same thing for about the first week. It will stop.

I always put my son to bed earlier than DD when he was younger.

mine have shared a room since the little one was 6 months and the big one was 3.  we didn't have this problem because little went to bed at a different time and was usually asleep when we layed her down.  6 years later, the only problem we have now is the goofing around.

i think maybe you missed your window for a 'peaceful' transition.  tough it out and put the little one down before the bigger one.  once the little one gets used to the new room and falling asleep alone, you can nudge back the big one's bedtime as needed.
