My almost 3 yr old woke up about an hour ago sat up in her bed and said " no go away I'm tired I don't wanna play" then said. " no wait come back don't be sad I'm just tired" after about 10 mins of hearing her talk I go into her room and ask her who are you talking to? She say grandma........ wait.... what!!??? Yeah so I tell her ok well were you just dreaming? She tells me no.. I play with her all the time. Grandma says she watches me... um ok.. well I do not want to scare my 3 yr old so I just say ok well tomorrow is another day its bed time now. Idk if its true.. but I'm kinda spooked. I do not want to teach my child that there are no ghosts because I know there are. So do I just go with it and treat it like an imaginary friend? Like she is playing?

Dream?

eta.. reread--I'm watching tv and only half read it.  I still think it could be a dream though, little ones mix them up with reality.

Why do you think it's not her Grandma?

Does she have a Grandma or a Grama type Figure who has passed away?

If so it very well could be her.

And, not to be rude, but from your statement your child wasn't frightened.

Most children aren't. It's the adults who usually have a hard time wrapping their heads around the idea that a Spirit will come back to visit.

Spirit = Crossed over soul

Ghost = Earth Bound Soul/ One who has not yet crossed

If its grandma, I'd let it go... If it was a stranger I'd discourage it.

 Children are open and perceptive and in time almost all grow out of that ability to communicate with the departed. She's not scared so I'd leave her be.

This... I'd tell Grandma bed time isn't play time... It might seem crazy, but think of it as talking to yourself aloud...

Sometimes I think the anonymous button was only created for spineless women to bash others and so idiots may troll... Very few use it for the intended purpose...

I had a son that died long ago and 4 years later I had my other son. When he was 2 I'd wake up to him giggling on the edge of the bed or floor and I'd ask what he was doing. He would say, "IM PLAYING WITH MY BROTHER!" they never met. Kids are freaky
