Since I'm awake I may as well start some trouble..I mean ask a thought provoking question! This is for my people of African decent ( don't get technical with me)
Since our ancestors were not free, why do YOU choose to celebrate Independence Day? Do you feel like its a holiday for you or for "white" people?

I don't celebrate it.


If it wasn't for potato salad and the craving for a cheeseburger, I would've forgot all about it.

i have some irish in me. some of my ancestors im sure werent free either.

It's not about race. It's about people standing against tyranny and not being afraid to point to authorities and say "you're wrong".

It's a day to be proud to be American. No matter you're political leanings or what you agree or don't agree with.
