Did your baby cry at birth?

My last son didn't. It was pretty amazing.  The transition was so quick, it was like he didn't even realize anything had happened.  He just looked around with a look of wonder on his face. He was like, "Wow, this looks different."

1 mom liked this
Yes. But only after I deliriously asked her where she got such a big nose from.

It's probably coincidence.

My first one let out a quick cry between coming out and being place on my chest then looked at amazement at me. It was adorable! My second son was a c-section and he was screaming the loudest cry I'd ever heard....I was crying and kept asking to see my baby because I knew if he was at my breast where he belonged it would calm him down.

Can't remember Anisa, passé out from low blood pressure!
Ibrahim did. He came out crying "uh huh!" Which he still uses when he wants to nurse! Lol.
Came out wanting to eat!

My oldest? Yes.

My youngest? No. The cord was wrapped around his meck, he was born so fast he "forgot" to breathe, had to spend 2 hours in observation, and had APGARS of 4 and 6

I have no clue. I had complications complications and passed out  having him so they whisked him out of the room. Only thing I remember is my mom saying "omg his hands are huge"

I had a c section so yes almost immediately. The first 5 minutes of her life were not entirely pleasant. I hope it is different the next time around.

Yes. DH cried harder, though.

She kicked me like crazy in the womb and I had a c/s but could feel her kick her way out. We made jokes about it because the doctor said she was kicking her legs around and didn't stop till we got our skin to skin :)

all of mine cried...but not immediately.  all 5 times, i had a few seconds of agonizing worry because i didn't hear them crying.
