It's the 1st day of Ramadan (we fast for 30 days from dawn to sundown, so, from 3:00am to about 8:22pm) and he wanted to fast with us.  He's doing a great job and even said he wants to try again tomorrow. I'm very proud of him.

*** 7/25  15 days into Ramadan, He has completed 2 full days and about 7 half days :)  He's very proud of himself. Tonight his request to break his fast is is beefy nachos. He also told me he's proud to be Muslim because it makes him special.  All this makes me feel like Im doing my job right!

That is so common here, it makes my husband's job hell! What religion is this?

Why does it make his job hell?  We are Muslims.

I grew up in a cult and was forced to fast as a kid (i am in no way saying you are in a cult!) - I absolutely hated it - felt like hell.

It really is healthy. By the end of the month the body feels so much better and is clean from all toxins and garbage it doesn't need IF the people fast like they are supposed to. Some over gourge themselves during the eating times and lose the whole meaning and purpose of Ramadan.
