We have always asked did she want to fast last year, so we are asking every day again.

She said yes today. DH got ready for work, left, and DD said to me " since I am fasting and didn't have my breakfast can I just get a snack?"
Lol!!!!

She fasted a whole 20 mins today. Lol.

For the record even when she does "fast", she only fasts until lunch time, she isn't required to do it at all but we leave it up to her!

Kids are cute when they try to be adult (well, with SOME things).

Happy Ramadan.

Oh, be prepared for a bunch of people to ask why you are forcing her to do so at such a young age. I know you aren't, but I noticed on the post about the 8 year old fasting (his choice, too), that people kept asking if he was being forced..... <eye roll>

Part of fasting is not announcing it to the world.

Not in Islam.
Every healthy Muslim fasts during Ramadan, no need to conceal it!
