I feel sorry for my neice....Vent

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
My neice just turned 2. She is up right this minute watching tv, playing, & walking around the house. My sister & her husband(father) is passed out on the couch. They live 4 hrs from me, they had some business to take care of here in the morning. But my sister has no idea she's up or even me being up. I woke her up and told her she was running down the hallways @3 am. She said "she does this every night, but at home I just close her door & she can play or go to sleep or whatever." Like seriously? I wanted to punch her. 3-4 months ago my niece's arm almost got cut off cuz they were not paying attention to her. They had a huge 20lbs glass car bank in thier room and she was climbing into the pack n play well she fell and landed ontop of it on her chest. It shatter and sliced her arm all the to the bone from the top of her shoulder to her elbow. She was flown to another hospital. It just pisses me off that she does not pay more attention to her kids, she has 2 boys 4 & 6 also. They're with their real dad in another city. I have to be up @ 5 to get my 2 kids up & off to daycare, I have yet to go to sleep. I don't work but I have things to do and cannot sleep all day either. I can not tell her anything cuz she tries to flip shit around & we'll get into a heated arguement and I'll probably hit her for being so damn stupid and irresponsible........ & of course my mom takes her side so she's no help..

Darwinism. Your niece is walking billboard for it. Survival of the fittest.

He has been around when stuff like this goes on. He will not work the case. He works for dhr not cps.

Quoting 2ltlmonkeyz:

Well all I can say about that is that is just dirty, the person that knows you should not have anything to do with the cps case or whatever. The person investigating the mother and father shoul get a fair chance and if you know him and he "knows" your side of the story then he is already biased and shit like that is what is wrong with CPS.

Quoting Anonymous:

I agree. But when he did take her she didn't do anything. We seriously thought she was going to stop us or idk something but no we kept my neice for 2 days before she came & got her. If we do it again. I'm going to call cps while we have her & get custody for sure. I now know somebody that works in dhr so I will have his help. He already knows the situation.

hmm well I read this entire post , I am more then curious why your kid's go to daycare but if you do not want to share it is ok . I will say this I will never put my kids in daycare especially after being on CM and seeing who some of the daycare workers in the world are lol.  I don't trust daycares period . So I work at night while my kids are tucked in their beds fast asleep .  The other thing you said about your husband just taking their baby and walking out , imo that is wrong ! If I were your sister and your DH tried to walk out with my baby or DID I would have his ass arrested .  Even though you guys disagree on parenting issues does not give your dh the right to walk off with her baby.  I am not saying letting your baby run around all night unsupervised is a good thing , but two wrongs don't make a right either .

Quoting Anonymous:

Right! I gave her some warm milk a cookies to fill her up but she is wide awake so I'm an awesome aunt and gonna stay up with her watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse =) my mom is like my sister just went right to bed knowing she's awake and not knowing I'm up.

Wow, sounds like a couple of winners... poor baby. :(

Shhhhhhhhhhhh...........don't tell anyone but its probably the cookie keeping her awake.  Not to mention the calfs milk.

Yes, she just tells me "Shut up dont start I know how to raise my kids so don't worry about them" she says it everytime... I've reminded her a few times about not paying attention and her arm almost getting cut off she yell back at my "she's a kid she's going to run around & get hurt I can't watch all 3 of them at the same time"

Quoting Anonymous:

That is too bad, must be frustrating. Have you brought up the fact that she almost cut her arm off while running around and playing with nobody supervising her? If so what is her response to this?

That is too bad, she shouldn't have had so many kids if she can't look after them. Hope nothing else serious happens with them.

I am sry to hear that. Hopefully thing will work out. Good luck

Quoting Anonymous:

My mom told her

Quoting Candie1015:

Then maybe you should give it a little while. How did she find out you called anyways by law thwy can not tell who told them

Quoting Anonymous:

This is the first time I've seen her since they moved 4 hrs away 2 months ago. I got her sitting down now.

Quoting Candie1015:

Well maybe next time yoi fo to cps bring prof of the danger she is in. Idk any cps worker that is gonna come out at night and that is when she is in danger. So if you have a video camera or a recorder you can plave somewhere without them knowing I would go for it. It wouldn't hurt to try and get records from the hospital either or atleast remember tje date and what hospital and cps will do the rest. She wont be taken away forever they give parents a chance to get their kids back but it will take time
