Formula Feeding: Nasty way

Okay let me say I have nursed all mine so maybe this is common or maybe it's not.

My DH stopped at a restaurant. I went in to wash my hands. This bathroom wasn't bad, but not good either. Inside a mom was getting water from the tap to make a bottle. She then used the hand dryer to warm it up.

I can not imagine how nasty the spout was and getting water for a bottle for your baby out of it. Just say no. So glad I never had to worry about that.

I had to do it back in April. Ran out of donor milk and we were driving from Texas to Oregon. I didn't use a hand dryer though... I just ran hot water in it. Yeah, it's not ideal but neither is starving my kid

Yeah that's pretty gross. I would never take a bottle into the bathroom.
I always just put water in the bottle before we left home and then asked for a hot cup of water to warm it up in.

You washed your hands with that same water and then ate....so you also consumed whatever was in it...

Ewwww. If I was at a restuarant I would have just ordered some hot water for tea and used that. I wouldn't make it in the bathroom. Gross. I would probably buy premixed liquid formula. It's more expensive but if you're out and about then it's nice. I wouldn't prepare my food in a bathroom so I certainly wouldn't for an infant.

Unless we are talking about a restaurant in the middle of no where and this women had no where to run to grab a bottle of water then that's gross.

Well if she forgot prefilled bottles, she did what she had to do.

I always used room temperature nursery water and the powdered formula.

You gotta do what you gotta do to feed your baby.

that's right it's better for her to starve her baby then find a water source.

When I traveled I always had a gallon jug of water so I didn't have to do that. But, at least the baby was able to eat.
