Would you allow you child?

Would you allow 10 and 8 y.o. girls to visit their father in prison? He has been sentenced for 3 years, for some violence and drug possession. I'm worried that the prison will influence them badly.

Yeah, I would. Supervised of course, but he's their dad and if they want to see him they need to be able to.

I would hope to ne'er be in that situation.
But if I was it would be a learning experience for them I guess. Sorry for you and your kids if this is a true situation :(

I don't think I would. I wouldn't want them to see him like that, nor would I want them to have to be in that environment.

If you think they're mature enough to handle seeing their Dad that way, and understand that he's not going to be able to come home with them, why not? Let him maintain a relationship with his kids, even if they are limited.

If they had a relationship with him prior to him going to prison yes. If not; No. I don't think that would be the best way to introduce them.
